Description:
At 103 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over De Land, or 7 miles northwest of Monticello,
moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Monticello, Farmer City, Mansfield, De Land, Weldon, White Heath,
Bellflower, De Witt, Galesville, and Lodge.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 72 between mile markers 159 and 173.
Interstate 74 between mile markers 157 and 168.
Instruction:
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional
information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Lincoln.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 700 PM CDT for
central and east central Illinois.
