* WHAT...Flooding caused by multiple rounds of thunderstorms continues. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following counties, Cook and DuPage. * WHEN...Until noon CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding is occurring in poor drainage and urban areas. Water may be covering roadways, especially along Route 53 near the Morton Arboretum. High water may recede slowly from flooded areas, possibly stalled by clogged drains. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 739 AM CDT, flooding was occurring in the warned area. In the past 48 hours, between 3 and 5 inches of rain has fallen. River gauges indicate that creeks and rivers are at or above bankfull, suggesting there are areas flooding in the area. - The worst flooding is occurring near the DuPage River in Downers Grove and Lisle, particularly near the Morton Arboretum. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
