Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected to
continue.
* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including Cook and DuPage
counties
* WHEN...Until noon CDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Slow
moving or standing water may continue.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1244 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rainfall had moved out of the area. Up to 2.5
inches of rain have fallen due to earlier storms. Although no
additional heavy rainfall is expected during the next several
hours, multiple streams continue to rise to near flood stage.
Standing water in some areas may be slow to recede.

Schaumburg, Skokie, Des Plaines, Berwyn, Mount Prospect,
Wheaton, Oak Park, Downers Grove, Glenview, Elmhurst,
Lombard, Ohare Airport, Carol Stream, Park Ridge and Addison.

The East Branch DuPage River near Lombard, Morton Arboretum,
and Lisle.
Salt Creek near Elmhurst, Oak Brook, and Western Springs.

Instruction:
A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
