Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Illinois,
including the following counties, in north central Illinois, De
Kalb. In northeast Illinois, Kane.
* WHEN...Until 400 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At midnight CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bartlett, St. Charles, West Chicago, Batavia, Geneva, Campton
Hills, Shabbona, South Elgin, Elburn, Wayne, Valley View,
Hinckley, Waterman, Maple Park, Lily Lake, Kaneville and Lee.

Instruction:
A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
