Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following
counties, Cook, DuPage and Lake IL.
* WHEN...Until midnight CDT tonight.
* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be
flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1020 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated the heaviest rainfall had shifted south of the
area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible over
the area this evening. This additional rain will result in
minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Elgin, Arlington Heights, Schaumburg, Palatine, Des Plaines,
Mount Prospect, Hoffman Estates, Glenview, Buffalo Grove,
Bartlett, Streamwood, Hanover Park, Wheeling, Northbrook, Elk
Grove Village, Highland Park, West Chicago, Lake Forest,
Rolling Meadows and Roselle.

Instruction:
A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
