* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following counties, Cook and Kane. * WHEN...Until 930 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 730 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that heavy rainfall had moved out of the area. Up to 2 inches of rain fell near Algonquin and Carpentersville from earlier storms. Standing water may be slow to recede and some streams may continue to rise for the next few hours. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chicago, Elgin, Arlington Heights, Schaumburg, Palatine, Des Plaines, Mount Prospect, Hoffman Estates, Bartlett, Streamwood, Hanover Park, Carpentersville, Elk Grove Village, Algonquin, Huntley, Barrington, Rolling Meadows, Roselle, South Elgin and Bensenville. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
