Description:
At 113 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Metropolis, moving southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Paducah, Metropolis, Lone Oak, Reidland, Brookport, Barkley Regional
Airport, West Paducah, New Columbia, Kevil, and Joppa.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 24 in Kentucky between Mile Markers 1 and 17.
Interstate 24 in Illinois between Mile Markers 24 and 38.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
