Tropical Storm (TS) 09W continues to gain strength and become
better organized as it heads towards the Marianas. Maximum
sustained winds have increased to 45 mph. Currently, TS 09W is
located near 10,0N 160.9E. This is approximately 1115 miles east-

WHAT WE'RE "MORE SURE OF":
- This could be a significant event for Guam and a vast majority
(southern half at least) of the CNMI.
- The typhoon may undergo RI (Rapid Intensification) before
and/or during it's approach to the Marianas.
- Significant imacts to infrastructure are a distinct possibility
- RESIDENTS SHOULD CONTINUE PREPARING for a major, impactful
event.
WHAT WE'RE LESS SURE OF:
- WHAT WILL BE THE EXACT TRACK (how close will the center be to
Guam, Rota, Tinian, or Saipan as it crosses the Marianas).
- Exact timing of when the "worst conditions" will be.
- How Long will the "worst conditions" last.
SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS:
- All residents of Guam and the CNMI should continue to PREPARE
NOW for the typhoon.
- PEASE BE SURE to check on the elderly and handicapped to see if
they need asistance preparing or geting things.
