Description:
At 151 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was near Riverdale, or 8 miles
northwest of Jonesboro. This storm was nearly stationary.
HAZARD...40 to 50 mph wind, nickel sized hail and frequent cloud to
ground lightning.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
light, unsecured objects.

Atlanta, Jonesboro, City of South Fulton, East Point, Union City,
Forest Park, Riverdale, College Park, Fairburn, Morrow, Hapeville,
Lake City, Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, Fort Gillem, Cascade Heights,
and Conley.
Instruction:
People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
