Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest Georgia, including the following
counties, Calhoun, Dougherty, Lee, Quitman, Randolph and Terrell.
* WHEN...Until 1015 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 857 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Dawson, Cuthbert, Leesburg, Albany, Shellman, Sasser,
Doverel, Graves, Martins Crossroads, Aycock Mill, Clarks
Mill, Herod, Fountain Bridge, Pachitla, Dawson Municipal A/P,
Goffs Mill, Chickasawhatchee, Shivers Mill, Bridges Crossroad
and Carnegie.
- Flooding has been reported in southwest Lee County near
Marlow Land and Martindale Drive.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
