Description:
At 620 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles east of Aneth, or 30 miles northwest of Shiprock, moving west
at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and
outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Aneth.
This includes the following highways...
Utah 162 between mile markers 20 and 31.
Colorado 41 between mile markers 4 and 9.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
