Description: 
At 1041 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11 miles northeast of Aneth, or 34 miles southeast of Blanding, moving northwest at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Aneth, Montezuma Creek, and Hovenweep National Monument. This includes the following highways... U.S. Highway 160 in Colorado between mile markers 1 and 4. Utah 162 between mile markers 6 and 31. Colorado 41 between mile markers 1 and 9.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
