Description:
At 513 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain. Received reports of flooding across the county roads north of
Cortez. Over an inch of rain fell across the area. Flash flooding is
already occurring.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where

threatening in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams
or creeks.
