Description: 
At 442 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain in Highway 145 between Norwood Hill and Placerville. Between 0.6 and 0.8 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring with multiple mudslides reported around 3:30 pm MDT along Highway 145 between Norwood Hill and Placerville. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Norwood and Placerville, including areas along Highway 145.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Highway 145 between Norwood Hill and Placerville is prone to rockslides and mudslides in heavy rain. Stay alert for rocks and debris on roads, and avoid driving on flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
