Description:
At 530 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Sawpit, or 40 miles south of Montrose, moving west at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and
outdoor objects is possible.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern San
Miguel County.
This includes Colorado 145 between mile markers 66 and 69, near mile
marker 78, near mile marker 82, and between mile markers 87 and 89.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
