* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. This area of rainfall is moving over areas that have already received heavy rain earlier today. * WHERE...A portion of southwest Colorado, including the following county, San Miguel. * WHEN...Until 200 AM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1057 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.2 and 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Norwood, Sawpit, Placerville and Fall Creek and areas along Highway 145. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Highway 145 between Norwood and Sawpit is prone to rockslides and mudslides in heavy rain. Stay alert for rocks and debris on roads, and avoid driving on flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
