Description:
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northwest Colorado, including the following
counties, Garfield and Rio Blanco.
* WHEN...Until 415 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 106 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between
0.8 and 1.2 inches of rain have fallen.
- South Fork White River is the most likely place to experience
minor flooding.

mainly rural areas of Eastern Rio Blanco and East Central
Garfield Counties

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become life
threatening in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams
or creeks.
