Description: 
At 653 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Olberg to 10 miles northwest of Chui-Chu. Movement was west at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Chandler, Casa Grande, Sun Lakes, Maricopa, Queen Creek, Arizona City, Blackwater, Chandler Heights, San Tan Valley, Bapchule, Olberg, Arizola, San Tan Mountain Park, Sacaton, Santan, Stanfield, and Ak- Chin Village. This includes the following highways... AZ Interstate 10 between mile markers 166 and 202. AZ Interstate 8 between mile markers 147 and 178. AZ Route 87 between mile markers 139 and 161.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MST for south central and southeastern Arizona.
