Description: 
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Maricopa County in south central Arizona... * WHEN...Until 1030 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 827 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.25 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Camp Creek, Cave Creek, Grapevine Wash, Seven Springs Wash, Rodger Creek, Blue Wash, Cottonwood Creek, Apache Wash, New River and Galloway Wash. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
