* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Northeastern Cochise County in southeastern Arizona... * WHEN...Until 815 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 625 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... West Whitetail Creek, Happy Camp Wash, San Simon River, O B Draw, Fivemile Creek, Pinery Creek, Big Sand Wash, Wood Canyon, Turkey Creek, Gold Gulch and Witch Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Willcox, Bowie, Chiricahua National Monument and Kansas Settlement. - This includes the following highways... Route 181 between mile markers 55 and 64. Route 191 near mile marker 88. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
