Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Paulden in Yavapai County in west central Arizona...
* WHEN...Until 500 PM MST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in creeks and normally dry washes is
imminent or occurring. Dangerous flooding over low-water crossings.
Ponding of water on highways and in urban areas will create
hazardous travel conditions.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 422 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated that the heaviest rain had
ended over Paulden. However, minor flooding remains a threat from
earlier heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
Verde River, Williamson Valley Wash, Big Chino Wash, Granite
Creek and Little Chino Valley. Additional rainfall amounts of up
to 0.25 inch are expected over the area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Paulden.
- This includes State Route 89 between mile markers 333 and 338.

Instruction:
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not
attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
