Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Maricopa County in south central Arizona...
* WHEN...Until 945 PM MST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Some low-water
crossings may become impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 638 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in Verde River. Between 0.25 and 0.75
inches of rain have fallen.
- Verde River is the most likely place to experience minor
flooding.This includes the following streams and drainages...
Camp Creek, Verde River, Indian Spring Wash and Sycamore Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
