Expected
Effective:
July 21, 2026 - 4:11pm
Expires:
July 22, 2026 - 4:15pm
Description:
Confidence is building in this storm taking a more southerly track towards the Yukon Delta Wednesday evening, with model guidance coalescing around the low reaching Norton Sound by late Wednesday night/early Thursday morning. Fortunately, it doesn't appear to be a storm that would come with major impacts. However, there is a chance for minor coastal impacts and high surf due to gusty southeast winds during the first half of the storm as it looks to strengthen a bit before landfall, then west-northwest winds as the low passes through. We will continue to update as necessary throughout the week.
