Description:
At 258 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Lakeview to near Opelika. Movement was
east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Auburn, Opelika, Valley, Lanett, Lafayette, La Fayette, Lakeview,
Cusseta, Chambers County Lake, Beulah, Denson, Beans Mill, Huguley,
Fairfax, River View, Sturkie, Oak Bowery, Lanett Municipal Airport, I
85 Welcome Center At Lanett, and Mount Jefferson.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
