Description:
At 551 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
between Leighton and Muscle Shoals. This thunderstorm was nearly
stationary.
HAZARD...Heavy downpours causing rapid ponding of water
and minor street flooding.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Reduced visibility and ponding of water will lead to poor
driving conditions.
Locations impacted include...
Muscle Shoals, Leighton, and Northwest Alabama Regional Airport.
Instruction:
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
