Description:
At 626 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Blount Springs to The Summit. These storms were
nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Birmingham, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Homewood, Pelham, Mountain Brook,
Trussville, Gardendale, Irondale, Leeds, Chelsea, Fultondale, Dallas,
Center Point, Clay, Pinson, Tarrant, Warrior, Kimberly, and Indian
Springs Village.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
