Description: 
At 400 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Anniston to Harrisburg. These storms were nearly stationary. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Anniston, Oxford, Pell City, Jacksonville, Moody, Odenville, Heflin, Cobb Town, West End-Cobb Town, Fort McClellan, Saks, Lincoln, Margaret, Weaver, Riverside, Ragland, Munford, Hobson City, Talladega Superspeedway, and Anniston Regional Airport.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for central and east central Alabama.
