Description:
At 344 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Hayden, or 14 miles north of Gardendale, moving west at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Sumiton, Dora, Warrior, Kimberly, Trafford, Hayden, Sipsey, County
Line, Rocky Hollow, Smith Dam, Blount Springs, Beloit, Arkadelphia,
Lynns Park, Smith Lake, Empire, Smoke Rise, Powellville, Rickwood
Caverns, and Partridge Crossroads.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for
central and northwestern Alabama.
