Description:
At 331 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Sawyerville, or 8 miles northwest of Greensboro. This thunderstorm
was nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Forkland, Duffys Bend, Sawyerville, Greensboro Municipal Airport,
Walden Quarters, Wedgeworth, Evansville, and Selden Lock And Dam.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for
west central Alabama.
