Description:
At 330 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Morris, or near Gardendale. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Northern Birmingham, Trussville, Gardendale, Irondale, Leeds,
Fultondale, Sumiton, Center Point, Clay, Pinson, Tarrant, Adamsville,
Warrior, Kimberly, Graysville, Morris, Brookside, West Jefferson,
Cardiff, and Ketona Lakes.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for
central Alabama.
