Description: 
At 128 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms near Concord, or 9 miles northwest of Hueytown, moving west at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Southwestern Birmingham, Hoover, Bessemer, Hueytown, Gardendale, Fairfield, Fultondale, Pleasant Grove, Midfield, Adamsville, Brighton, Kimberly, Lipscomb, Graysville, Morris, Sylvan Springs, Brookside, Mulga, Maytown, and West Jefferson.
Instruction: 
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for central and west central Alabama.
