Description: 
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following counties, Chambers, Lee and Tallapoosa. * WHEN...Until 215 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1101 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lanett, Dadeville, Camp Hill, Lafayette, La Fayette, Waverly, Lakeview, Five Points, West Chambers, Sturkie, Ridge Grove, Oak Bowery, Chambers County Lake, Buffalo, Denson, Huguley, Fredonia, Post Oak Forks, Veasey Creek Park and Amity Park.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
