* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Central Mobile County in southwestern Alabama... * WHEN...Until 245 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1249 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to nearly stationary thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Midtown Mobile, Downtown Mobile, Prichard, Tillmans Corner, Theodore, Mobile Regional Airport, I10 And I65, Wheelerville, West Hill, Mann, Meadow Lake, Dawes, Orchard, Forest Hill, Navco, Tacon, Neshota, Mertz, Seven Hills and Saint Elmo.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
