Description:
At 350 PM EDT/250 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of
strong thunderstorms 7 miles northwest of De Funiak Springs, moving
east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Panama City Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, De Funiak Springs, Geneva, Eglin
Air Force Base, Union, Liberty, Live Oak, Freeport, Paxton, Ponce De
Leon, Caryville, Westville, Ebro, Oakwood Hills, Cluster Springs,
Whitehead Crossroads, Cerrogordo, Villa Tasso, and Gulf Resort Beach.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
