Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast Alabama, including the following
county, Geneva and Panhandle Florida, including the following
counties, Holmes and Walton.
* WHEN...Until 600 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 353 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
De Funiak Springs, Eglin Air Force Base, Union, Liberty,
Paxton, Ponce De Leon, Piney Grove, Center Ridge, De Funiak
Spring Airport, Sand Hill, Alpine Heights, Cluster Springs,
Glendale, Pleasant Hill, Pleasant Ridge, Oakwood Hills,
Argyle, Caney Creek, New Harmony and Fox Hill.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
