* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northeastern San Juan County in southeastern Utah...
* Until 900 PM MDT.
* At 551 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.4 and 0.8 inches of
rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 5 inches in 1
hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

La Sal and La Sal Junction, affecting areas along and east of
Highway 191.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Highway 191 is prone to rockslides and mudslides in heavy rain. Stay
alert for rocks and debris on roads, and avoid driving on flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
