The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
Southern Muskingum County in east central Ohio...
* Until 300 PM EDT.
* At 228 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 6 miles southwest of South Zanesville, or 8 miles
southwest of Zanesville, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
* Locations impacted include...
Zanesville, South Zanesville, Philo, Fultonham, Duncan Falls,
Cannelville, Ruraldale, Chandlersville, High Hill, East Fultonham
and Blue Rock State Park.
Instruction:
Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built building
away from windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a
vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself
from flying debris.
