The island of Oahu in Honolulu County * Until 500 AM HST. * At 153 AM HST, emergency management reported heavy rain and widespread flooding across northern Oahu this morning. Currently, there is no road access in or out of Haleiwa due to high flood waters. Although rainfall rates have decreased over the area, runoff, high water levels and flash flooding impacts continue. HAZARD...Heavy rain producing life threatening flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management. IMPACT...Flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads, properties, and other low-lying areas. Public road closures possible in some areas. Landslides are possible in steep terrain. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... northern half of Oahu, along and north of a line from Waianae Valley to Mililani Mauka to Waiahole.
Instruction: 
Stay away from streams, rivers, drainage ditches, and culverts, even if they are currently dry. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. The heavy rains may cause rock and mudslides in steep terrain areas.
