Description:
At 403 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Derby, or near
Pearsall, moving east at 20 mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR DERBY.
HAZARD...Baseball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured.
Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs,
siding, and vehicles.
Locations impacted include...
Pearsall, North Pearsall, Goldfinch, Derby, Divot, Schattel, Bigfoot,
and Three Oaks.
Instruction:
This is a dangerous storm. Prepare immediately for large destructive
hail capable of producing significant damage. People outside should
move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from windows.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
