Description:
At 613 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Deforest to near Fitchburg to near New Glarus, moving
east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Madison, Sun Prairie, Fitchburg, Middleton, Waunakee, Verona, Oregon,
McFarland, Monona, Windsor, Deforest, Belleville, New Glarus,
Shorewood Hills, Maple Bluff, Camp Randall Stadium, Paoli, Token
Creek, Henry Vilas Zoo, and UW-Madison.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for south central
Wisconsin.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
