At 456 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Cashton, or 10 miles northeast of Viroqua, moving east at 30 mph. THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR VERNON AND SOUTHEAST MONROE COUNTIES. HAZARD...Three inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Law enforcement. At 457 PM, Law enforcement reported baseball sized hail in Westby. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured. Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs, siding, and vehicles. Locations impacted include... Westby, Hillsboro, Cashton, Glendale, Norwalk, Ontario, Wilton, Kendall, Clifton, Wildcat Mountain State Park, Jersey Valley County Park, Bartons Corners, Trippville, Mill Bluff State Park, Hoffman Corners, Mount Tabor, County Roads D And P, Potts Corners, Dilly, and Rockton. This includes Interstate 90/94 near mile marker 52.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for central, southwestern and west central Wisconsin. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. This is a dangerous storm. Prepare immediately for large destructive hail capable of producing significant damage. People outside should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from windows.
