* IMPACTS...At 9.5 feet, Floodwaters are in the back yards of some
homes along South Farmer, Jefferson, North Mechanic and West Water
Streets in Princeton. There is general minor flooding in the
Princeton area.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 9.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 7.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:00 AM CDT Thursday was 9.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
tomorrow morning and continue falling to 8.7 feet Thursday,
April 30.
- Flood stage is 9.5 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
9.4 feet on 05/11/2012.

Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.
