Rock River At Fort Atkinson affecting Jefferson County. Rock River At Afton affecting Winnebago and Rock Counties. Rock River At Jefferson affecting Jefferson County. Rock River At Watertown affecting Jefferson County. ROCK RIVER near LEBANON-3 E-HWY MM BRIDGE affecting Dodge County. Fox River At Princeton affecting Green Lake County. Fox River Near Berlin affecting Green Lake County. Crawfish River At Milford affecting Jefferson County. Fox River Lower At Rochester affecting Racine County. Fox River Lower Near New Munster affecting Lake and Kenosha Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Rock River at Fort Atkinson. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 17.5 feet, Floodwaters partially cover low spots on Highway 106 near Rock River Park. A riverside walkway near South Water Street in downtown Fort Atkinson is closed. A few homes and businesses are surrounded by water at the end of Vets lane near the intersection of Highway 106 and Blackhawk Island Road about 1 mile southwest of Fort Atkinson. North Shore Road about 1 mile southwest of Fort Atkinson is closed. Ralph Rd impacted. Floodwaters cover fields on the east side of Fort Atkinson. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 17.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 14.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3:00 AM CDT Thursday was 17.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 16.4 feet Wednesday evening. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim, or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters, stop, turn around and go another way. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.
