* IMPACTS...At 6.0 feet, There is minor lowland flooding in the
Waukesha area.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 6.0 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 5.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this morning to a crest of 6.1 feet this afternoon. It
will then fall below flood stage this evening.
- Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
6.1 feet on 06/18/1996.

Instruction:
Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
