...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Wisconsin... Fox River At Princeton affecting Green Lake County. Fox River Near Berlin affecting Green Lake County. Wisconsin River At Portage affecting Columbia County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wisconsin River at Portage. * WHEN...Until late Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS...At 18.5 feet, Floodwaters affect River Shores Road about 3 miles upstream of Portage in the Town of Lewiston and River Oaks Road about 7 miles downstream of Portage in the Town of Dekorra in Columbia County. Water over Levee Rd and Tritz Rd. There is widespread flooding of roads in the Blackhawk Park Area including West Lake Road...Blackhawk Road and Wood Street. The Blackhawk Park area is on the south side of the river about 3 miles south of Portage. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 18.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.7 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:00 AM CDT Monday was 18.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to continue to fall to minor flood on Tuesday and below flood stage Wednesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.9 feet on 03/17/2019. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim, or drive through such swift water.
