* WHAT...Snow above 3500 feet. Additional snow accumulations up to 1-2 inches, with locally higher amounts possible above 5,000 feet. Additional snow accumulations of a dusting to possibly half an inch in some lower elevations. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHERE...The North Carolina mountain counties along the Tennessee border above 3500 feet. * WHEN...Until 8 AM EDT this morning. * IMPACTS...The snowfall will create slippery and snow covered roadways. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning commute. Strong winds could cause damage to trees and power lines.
