Description:
* WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations 6 to 12
inches in the most persistent lake snows over a 36 hour period.
Winds gusting as high as 45 mph will produce areas of blowing snow
tonight and Tuesday.
* WHERE...Oswego County. Lake bands will mainly impact far northern
portions of the county through Tuesday morning, then shift south
across the remainder of the county Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday
night.
* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 8 AM EDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
will impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds
will down tree branches and cause isolated power outages.
Instruction:
Lake effect snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling,
be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.
