Description:
* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, snow. Additional snow
accumulations between 1 and 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40
mph leading to blowing snow. For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy
mixed precipitation possible. Total snow and sleet accumulations
between 5 and 10 inches and ice accumulations between one tenth
and three tenths of an inch possible. Locally higher ice amounts
will be possible. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Alpena and Montmorency Counties.
* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 2 AM EDT Saturday.
For the Winter Storm Watch, from late Saturday night through
Monday evening.
* IMPACTS...Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice.
Travel could be nearly impossible. The hazardous conditions could
impact the Friday evening and Monday morning commutes.
