Description:
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet
accumulations up to 1 inch, with locally 2 inches possible on the
ridge tops. Ice accumulations of a light glaze in the valley and
up to two tenths of an inch on the ridges.
* WHERE...Central Virginia Blue Ridge, and Augusta and Rockingham
Counties.
* WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 7 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning
commutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will move into the area this afternoon
but may struggle to accumulate in the valleys. Precipitation will
then change over to sleet and primarily freezing rain this
evening. The precipitation will either taper off or change to
plain rain Tuesday morning.
