* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 12 inches possible. Winds could gust from 30 to 50 mph. * WHERE...Western Kenai Peninsula, Cooper Landing, and Southern Kachemak Bay. * WHEN...From late Thursday night through Friday evening. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A strong storm is expected to track either up Cook Inlet or into Prince William Sound. Snow and gusty winds are likely in either scenario, but the track will determine whether or not snow accumulations fall on the lower or higher side of the stated range.
